Biography of Jerome Leroy.
Jerome Leroy is an award-nominated composer who has written original music for feature films, TV movies, video games and live events. He started his career by composing music to numerous short films, including the multi award-winning animated film Brother (American Pavilion winner at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival) and Taking The Plunge, winner of a coveted Student Academy Award.
Since then, Jerome has written music for feature films such as The Housemaid, After Ever After, #IKLLR, and The Mistover Tale, New Line Cinema’s A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, Touchback (starring Kurt Russell), and 50 To 1, directed by Academy Award winner Jim Wilson. His credits in the film industry also includes Lionsgate’s tentpole movie The Hunger Games, Universal Pictures’ animated film The Tale of Despereaux, and The Liberator, with music by LA Phil Music Director Gustavo Dudamel. Over the years, he also collaborated on more than thirty films as orchestrator and score producer. In 2016, his original score to Dennis Ho’s A Better Place was nominated for a Maverick Movie Award and in the Best Music category at the Lyon International Film Festival.
In television, Jerome’s co-composed the original scores to Hallmark Hall of Fame’s One Christmas Eve, directed by Jay Russell, and Crackle’s The Throwaways, starring James Caan and Kevin Dillon. His music can be heard on a variety of movies-of-the-week for Hallmark Hall of Fame, Lifetime, and the Hallmark Channel, and he co-produced and wrote music for OWN’s groundbreaking docuseries Operation Change.
In addition to his work in long form entertainment, Jerome has written and produced music for various media projects, most notably for mobile apps and video games, commercials and corporate films, and rides for theme parks worldwide such as Disney World in Orlando, Disneyland Anaheim, and Universal Studios. He also arranged songs for a variety of artists, including Idina Menzel and teen sensation band Il Volo.
A native of Paris, France, Jerome lives with his wife, son, and daughter in Los Angeles.
